Greater turmoil.
Feb. 2nd, 2006 10:05 pmA few days ago, I mentioned how, after a turbulent restructuring, one of our new management team at work resigned after two and a half months at work.
So it shouldn’t really have been too much of a shock when his boss was peremptorily fired on last Monday. He went to a meeting with the head of the department to find someone from HR there as well, and, so the gossip has it, was told that he was no longer required by the organisation and should immediately go. He went.
This left us somewhat in disarray: a new team pushing through a complex collection of strategic projects, losing its prime sponsor. The two remaining members of the management team have hastily tried to pull things together; but, well, successful implementation seems even less likely.
