Unbelievable: "We Will Not Be Silent"

From BBC.com: Arabic T-shirt sparks airport row - An architect of Iraqi descent has said he was forced to remove a T-shirt that bore the words "We will not be silent" before boarding a flight at New York..

So much for "the land of the free."

Oh, that's an old airport row. The latest one is where 12 Indians were handcuffed and led of the plane in Amsterdam, kept in prison for 24 hrs, denied phonecalls, Indian embassy officials denied permission to visit them...then they were released with an apology. The reason was that one of them got a phonecall while the plane was waiting to take off, and he sounded excited when he heard what the caller had to say.

It doesn't pay to be brown and have opinions and emotions apparently...

I googled and found a slightly different version. Apparently it happened mid-air. No phone call, but they were passing a cell phone around and sounded excited. So they turned the plane back to Amsterdam and the rest was as I said.
