I've been reading Stuart Nicholson's book on jazz-rock (which might become a post of its own...) - I can't help thinking now that it has all been absorbed. After the burst that followed Bitches brew (and gave rise to ugh "smooth jazz" and "fusion"), things that Nicholson thinks are jazz-rock I just think are jazz.

The Bad Plus seem to mix everything up - and it is still jazz!
