My (shared) leaving do last night.

Oh god.

Someone please put me out of my misery.

(On the plus side, I managed not to try to write a very drunken post. So no entertaining typos from me!)

Absolutely - I have a whole list of things I want to post about, and that is top of the list.

I just couldn't face any real writing today...

I'm sorry, I've no sympathy. Some of us (mentioning no names) managed to Po Na Na and then managed to bop till 3am. Whereupon, I shared a taxi (contract make the b#stards pay) and then got in circa 4(ish) Having had sufficient self awareness to not make toast (fire hazard) I made banana sandwiches while nodding at the man on news 24. Finally went to bed and BOY WAS IT HOT. Woke feeling as if I had just spent a few days in the dessert and went to seek water. Younglins appeared around 8am, but were taken away by wife. Stayed in bed till 12pm and then got up. Was escorted around costco (why oh why) and then promptly had an early night.

Never...ever...again.

Didn't you get my grovelling email, then?

And why didn't you text me when you left the pub?!

Still, my wife said she hadn't seen me so drunk, so maybe it was better that I managed to stagger away rather than hit the dance floor...

Yes, got the email, my suggestion is let the RBS types have it, they'll need it more than us....funny story for you on that front but not for here, email me for more!

Does that apply to others who might be interested?

I know I said I wouldn't give you a hard time about your language, but, really.

It is not the language I worry about, but the menu. A few days in the Tiramisu would be wonderful; the Trifle bearable; but Rice Pudding detestable.

The sherry bit of the trifle might be good.
