Harvest Moon

Walking home from the cinema, I saw the Moon from Dean Bridge; it was large and coppery, low over Leith. I stood and watched it for several minutes, causing people walking past to stop and see what I was looking at.
I tried to take pictures of it with my little pocket camera, but – no surprise – they didn’t come out.
Undaunted, I went home, picked up my SLR and a tripod, and walked back to the bridge. Higher now, perhaps less emphatic without the roofs to accentuate its size, I tried again.
I was frustrated; I couldn’t get the Moon to look like I saw it; I couldn’t get the Moon and the rooftops.
It was still beautiful, but I was annoyed.
Still, I did take this:
