Mid-life fashion crisis averted.

I needed to buy a new pair of jeans; my usual pair suddenly seem baggy, slips off my waist and hips until they are almost falling down. And whilst this might be trendy, the crotch hanging around my knees, it really isn’t me.
(I don’t know why my jeans are baggy: I don’t think I have lost weight or anything.)
So today I went to buy a new pair of jeans. I went to Gap; and I went to the Levi’s store. Actually, I went to Gap twice; or rather, I went to two different branches: the people in the first one were completely gormless, whilst those in the second were very helpful.
I ended up buying Levi’s. I tried two different styles, because I saw they had slim fit 511s. I used to wear these when I was younger – they fit tightly to the leg. The store called them “rock’n’roll” jeans. I am moderately tall, and they used to look quite good. So I tried them on.
They looked good: perhaps a little tight, but they are meant to be – my legs are quite fit (all that walking).
But they also made me look like a guy in his mid-forties trying to relive his youth. And whilst that might be an accurate description, it wasn’t the way I would like people to see me.
So I bought the standard fit, the 506s, instead.
