A list of things that I have been meaning to write about but haven’t, yet, and now I
probably won’t.
- having my brother to stay (he probably thinks I have actually written about it but it is hidden behind a friends-lock, although I haven’t)
- going to a whisky tasting of rare bottles – “the last drop” it was called – where I sat on a table and talked football with some guys over from Glasgow; one of them worked at Motherwell FC: he told a story of how, when Terry Butcher left at the end of last season, he left a picture on the wall of the 1966 world cup squad; it was thrown out
- going to a whisky tasting which match whisky with smoked salmon from Loch Fyne Oyster Bar; it was quite delicious
- sitting reading at 10.30 at night; without any lights on, because it was so light outside; and it was the first time in ages that I was interested in reading books (I know, I am forever damned)
- going to a beautiful exhibition of photographs by Felicitas Vogler at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. (Try as I might, I can't get a link to work to go to their website; I think they may have done thing to the URL so that people can't blog it...) I mean to go back, but it finishes on Sunday. They are lovely photographs. Curiously, there is nothing of her work on Google images, and although there is one of her pictures on www.natgalscot.ac.uk, I can't link to it; I'd have shown it to you if I could. Anyhow, the exhibition is on until Sunday. These are pictures I wish I had taken. Another time, I should write something about photography. In a long while.
