Friday.

I drank a lot. It was a leaving do – lots of people were leaving, including one friend who I have worked with since I first joined the firm.

We all got very drunk. I was there for maybe five hours, and I guess I had a drink in my hand most of the time.

I can’t recall much of what happened – a lot can happen in five hours.

I only left because everyone else decided it was time to go dancing – which is a sure sign that, actually, it is time to go home.

Saturday.

Not much happened. I watched the football, slumped on the sofa. That was about it.
