I have just watched the first episode of the new series of Dragons' Den on BBC2.
If you haven't seen it, this is a kind of reality show where people with new business ideas pitch to get investment from some rather vicious equity investors - the dragons of the title.
There I was, being entertained by these wacky and wonderful ideas as the dragons tore into the inventors and their under-developed business plans, when onto the screen walks an ex-girlfriend.
I haven't seen this woman for probably twenty five years...
It was very odd, watching this woman with whom I - um... - got my teenage kicks, trying to sell her idea to the dragons, and by extension, the nation's tv watchers.
(And if you saw the show, she was the brunette selling kids' books rather than the blonde selling loo seat covers!)
And my wife says she looked far older than me. That will be my boyish good looks, then.
