I was recently in York, and I took many pictures inside York Minster. Looking at them, it made me think that I take the same photographs over and over again.

In the last year, I have been in Sherborne Abbey, St Mary Redcliffe (in Bristol), Bristol Cathedral and York Minster; I actually thought I had taken similar views in each, but apparently I took no pictures inside Bristol Cathedral, partly because I found it disappointing after the non-cathedral grandeur of St Mary Redcliffe.

Anyhow – can you tell which of these is York Minster, which Sherborne Abbey, and which St Mary Redcliffe?

Truth be told, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart if I hadn't been there, and knew which was which.

What got me was how I seemed to take the same pictures each time!

Okay, I'm going to say that the first two are the same and I think might be York Minster. #3 and #6 might be Sherborne Abbey and the other two St Mary's. Now tell me I've got them all wrong!

Since only you have grasped nettle, the answer is - 1 and 2: Sherborne; 3 and 4 - St Mary Redcliffe; 5 and 6 - York Minster (and I have posted more pictures here) (http://rhythmaning.livejournal.com/190297.html).

Still, I wouldn't have had a clue if I hadn't taken the pictures. In my memory, they all look the same!
