Rather randomly I ended up spending yesterday evening in the pub right by Highbury & Islington tube station - deep in Arsenal territory. We were sitting in the window behind the big screen which had a sea of men in front of it.

I think we realised that there was a match on. We may even have realised it was an Arsenal game. Certainly we knew by the noise when there was a goal or a near goal or a miss. But when we left (after the match had finished) we realised we didn't know who had won! (Or even who they were playing)
