"All The Things"

I'm working down by the docks in Leith. There are amazing views of the Edinburgh skyline from the top of the car park at Ocean Terminal, but the light facing south was too strong: the city looked washed out.

The docks, though, looked beautiful, creating reflections in the water that I just loved.

Oh, these are lovely! Especially the reds and golds reflected against turquoise ...

I have a couple of similar shots from Vancouver that didn't work out half as well. There were packing containers and big red cranes and maybe I should be naughty and fiddle with the filters a bit, because ... well, they were very nice to look at, it just didn't quite take in the picture.
