Light and Reflections. And Pigeons.

The light on this statue of Edith Cavell, in St Martins Place, Trafalgar Sq, really struck me. There was a pigeon sitting on her head, which really made the picture, but by the time I had got my camera out, it had flown away.
On the other hand, I waited for ages and ages for the pigeon to fly away from this statue of Alison Lapper by Marc Quinn, which occupies one of the plinths in Traflagar Sq. The pigeon didn't move. It was still there when I came out of the National Gallery, thirty minutes later. (I am sure it was the same one...) I thought the staue was rather beautiful.
