It has not been possible to avoid Celebrity Big Brother. They were talking about it on the radio this morning; and I suppose I have to admit I actually saw some of the first "episode" on Thursday, whilst waiting for Desperate Housewives. (Really.)

So could someone please explain what Ken Russell is doing in there?

It just seems so bizarre.

I guess if Oliver Reed were still alive, he'd be a prime candidate, wouldn't he?

I can't escape. I read in the Independent today that Russell had escaped... I mean, even the Independent are covering this drivel!

Ah, see, advantage of not going to the office every day is also not buying a newspaper and instead reading online. Yes, I'm missing stuff, but not all of what I'm missing is a bad thing.

I just don't get the appeal. OTOH, Elton's Dead Famous is an amusing read which I wouldn't have got if I hadn't at least observed the BB phenomena.
