Yeuch!!! (Sorry to be tasteless, but...)

I have been in London for twenty four hours. I have just blown my nose. My white handkerchief has been turned black.

This only happens to me in London.

I always notice that when I visit London. Hates it, I does.

Los Angeles... I can almost guarantee I'll pick up some niggly respiratory thing

Moscow in the nineties - I blew my nose and ended up with half of their coal reserves in my hanky.

That's why I take the bus... usually...

Yup. Clean Air Act? Slightly less filthy air act more like. And it's only London, not Athens, Berlin or LA, just London. Ah well. Still going to move there.

Mmm - that is a very good point!

Nice place to visit - can't say that I would relish moving back here. Though I can see clear benefits.

But I am sure you'll grow out of it!

Oh, probably. I told people (especially my mother, who's trying to find me jobs in Devon to keep me safe) that I had to try it just because. I'm only 32 after all, years to go before I need to settle down and pretend to be an adult, right?

You're right - everyone should try it. I worked in London for seven years, before being stuck a mile underground for an hour and a half each day in the summer heat made me seek the cooler climes of Edinburgh...

Edinburgh was actually in the top 5 of other choices. But, given I've never actually crossed the border, I decided somewhere I know a lot of people made more sense.

But the climate in Edinburgh would suit me.
