Nil-all draw after extra time, Portugal (rightly) won in penalties...one of the English hit the post, for god's sake!!!

Ummm... I dunno. I think the Portuguese took the piss a bit when they claimed they weren't ready for the penalty that did go in and made the player take it again.

We were watching it on German satellite and from the commentator's reaction I assumed that was the ref's decision, rather than the Portuguese whining... It's a bit harsh if it was the ref siding with the Portuguese side, though. I mean - it's a penalty, it's not like they should be surprised to see a ball hurning their way!
