Three Little Questions

Ask me three questions. Any three questions. Of any nature. I will answer as truthfully as I can, and as correctly as I can. Dont blame me if you dont like the answers! Then post this in your own journal, thus letting your friends (me included) ask you anything.

You haven't screened either! No fair, it's more difficult to ask contentious questions :o)

1. What is your personal motto?

2. Boxers or briefs?

3. How do you eat yours?

1. What is your personal motto?

I really don't have one. I guess I do have beliefs, and I do try to live my life to be "good" (though how I interpret good is open to discussion); but I don't have a motto. I was wonder whether I could find something appropriate in the songs of my youth... but they all seemed very inappropriate!

2. Boxers or briefs?

Either, depending on what I am doing and what I am wearing. But mostly, boxers.

3. How do you eat yours?

Seductively.

Set up a filter, and I'll see if I want to answer "contentious questions" in public or private!

1. Would you rather be a lion tamer?

2. Who is top of your celebrity shag list?

3. If you couldn't live in the UK where would you go?

[identity profile] rhythmaning.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Would you rather be a lion tamer?

Rather than what? Actually, the answer has to be no: I think keeping large animals in captivity is not right (despite my pleasure at watching them); and taming them? Surely it is the wildness of animals is part of why we are interested. So, no, I wouldn't. My cats' scratches are sufficient.

2. Who is top of your celebrity shag list?

I am not too up on celebrities. I am very partila to Cameron Diaz (although she has a boy's name). And whatsherface Cruz is pretty nice. But since I don't think I have shagged any other celebrities, I have no-one to compare Penelope to.

3. If you couldn't live in the UK where would you go?

I do like the west coast of Ireland; and I like being in France - but I am not sure I would want to be there forever. I don't think I would like to live in New York, though it is a wonderful place to visit.

So where would I go? I think probably north island New Zealand - great landscape, great climate, wonderful wine, lots of good people. And tree ferns.

[ETA: when I wrote "tree ferns" it came out as "three ferns". There are alot more than three ferns in north isalnd New Zealand; indeed, I think there are three ferns on each All Blacks jersey. But tree ferns - well, YAY!]

This is curiousity, not laziness:

1. Breast or Thigh?
2. Youth or Experience?
3. North or South?

[identity profile] rhythmaning.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Breast or Thigh?

[I am taking this question completely literally. If you were talking about chicken...]

Being completely honest, just about everything. In some women, it is legs; in others, it is hair; in others again, eyes. As I have grown older, I think it tends towards breast more than when I was younger - but it is almost the idea of breast (size is completely irrelevant).

I guess I am particularly partial legs (see my answer to [livejournal.com profile] lunar_affinity, when I get there); and that includes ankles , which I thikn can be very sexy.

But I almost think any part of a woman can be very sexy if you find the woman sexy.

2. Youth or Experience?

Both. When I was younger, I went for older women; and I still do.

It is just that now I am older than they are.

3. North or South?

You do realise that none of your questions can be answered, don't you?

The answer to this one for me is both. Most pertinently, I love the north of Scotland - north starting at Callander or Crianlarish or somewher. (I think that will squeeze in Ardnamurchan.) And I love the far north.

But in a global perspective, south is wonderful. I have had a great time in Queensland, and in New Zealand, and elsewhere south of the equator. Particularly in places which straddle the equator - Malaysia (just north), India (bit of both), New Caledonia (pretty far south, actually).

And Greenland is a wonderful place - well, the small part of it I have seen.

So both north and south.

Well, question 1 was open to any interpretation you liked - I was thinking of chicken, though (originally I had put white or brown meat? and then noticed that was VERY open to misinterpretation.

Good answers, thanks.

Chicken? Definitely breast, though everyone keeps trying to convince me that legs and thighs taste better. I think they do that so there'll be more breast for them...

1. What is missing from your life?
2. How did you meet your wife?
3. When you were 15, what did you want to be?

[identity profile] rhythmaning.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
1. What is missing from your life?

OK, this isn't meant to sound too smug or anything, but there really isn't much that I would change. I am currently looking for a new job, but work isn't that important to me. I am not very material - I feel I have accumulated what material goods I need.

Perhaps a Howard Hodgkin or a Rothko on the wall? That would really be something to treasure. But I am surrounded by paintings anyway, so that is fine.

Maybe the real answer would be some kind of pain or trauma - but I sincerely don't want that. Life is very good.

2. How did you meet your wife?

Ha! I very nearly didn't. It was the night of an international - Scotland v Ireland at Murrayfield, I think - and I had planned on going to the pub in the afternoon, drinking a few pints of Guiness, watching the rugby, and doing nothing else; but instead I decided not to go to the pub, and to go to watch Scottish Dance Theatre (I think) at the Traverse.

In the bar, I saw a woman I had tried to chat up at a party the week before - we had had a long conversation. With her was a stunning woman in a very tight tartan miniskirt (with wonderful legs!). This was J - and we spent many hours talking in the bar. I then walked her home to her flat in Leith - I was concerned about the number of drunk rugby players around - and I was very virtuous: barely a goodnight kiss.

We met up later in the week - she invited me to an opening of an art exhibition, and then (I think!) we went to see a movie, and dinner. And we have been together ever since (with a minor hiccup...)!

3. When you were 15, what did you want to be?

[ETA: Oops. I forgot the last question!]

I really don't remember. I was really into astronomy, so it could have been an astronomer; but by then I was very good at biology, so I could have decided on botanist. A scientist, anyhow.

[identity profile] pshtaku.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I sort of guessed the answer to (1) but wanted to check - you do come across as a very contented soul. Long may it last...

That is a fantastic way to meet - in fact, pretty much perfect.

(1) Which clothing looks / styles do you admire in women, and which do you not admire?

(2) When do you like to be in control, and when do you like not to be in control?

(3) What music are you mostly listening to at the moment?

Am intrigued by your answer above. I had you down as a breast man.

3. Davenport Blues - Alex Walsh (Jazz Record Requests - JRR to the cognocenti). Actually, it is now Good Morning Blues: "the blues ain't nothing but a good girl feeling bad..." Must be Bessie Smith or someone like that. (Actually Barbara Dain (?). Never heard of her.)

2. In control: driving a car. On a mountain. But I think I am rarely overly controlling - a slight touch of the rudder. I really dislike being given something to do (this is in a work context, obviously), and then not being allowed to get on with it - you know the kind of thing I am thinkig about.

1. I don't think I am any good at identifying styles. It all comes down to the person, for me. Some women look good, others don't. (I was going to be flippant and say "naked", but I thought that might call the wrath of the overwhelming female majority on LJ down on me.)

Being completely honest, just about everything. "Everything" includes breasts. And a whole lot more.
