Images of pictures by Clyfford Still

I recently mentioned Clyfford Still in a post, and I should have given a link to pictures by him. So here it is: Google Image Search - Clyfford Still

I described his paintings as "Rothko with lightning" - though looking at these, there is more of the fichist there than I recalled.

It is clearly a spelling mistake, and I'll have to work out how it should be spelt.

But what I intended was: a form of art created by tearing off bits of posters from the walls (fiche being French for leaflet or poster or something).

But it ain't in wikipedia, and it ain't on google...

"Fichiste" is someone who files I think - I get all these french job sites!
