That meme...

Here’s my take on this meme that’s going around, stolen from
f4f3.
1. Your name spelled backwards.
And tell everyone who I am? More fun would be anagrams: here is an anagram of my username which I quite like: High 'n' my rant. And here is one of my real name: Flake rapid ditch.
2. Last incoming call on your phone.
On my mobile: I am inclined to be sheep-like and just say “Frankie” – which it may be… It actually just says “private”. And I have no idea what the last call was on my landline.
3. What is the last thing you downloaded onto your computer?
Aside from the updated definitions for my anti-virus software – a regular occurrence – the last bit of software I put on my machine was Picassa.
4. What's your favourite restaurant?
Three Chimneys, Skye. I could go on about this place for hours, and I have.
5. Last time you swam in a pool?
November, when I briefly took out gym membership at work.. I went three times in the first week, once in the next week, and then I caught a cold, I haven’t been back and I have cancelled my membership.
6. Have you ever been in a school play?
Yes. I played the archangel Gabriel in my primary school’s nativity play when I was five or six. Gabriel is the angel who tells everyone that Christ will born; except my Gabriel, who wittered on about something else, missing this vital part of the story.
7. 2 or 3?
2/3 over 4 or 8 – and hence, swing.
8. Type of music you dislike most?
Heavy Metal – anything too loud, too fast.
9. Do you have cable?
No – Freeview.
10. Have you ever ridden on a 4 wheeler?
I have ridden various things; the common view seems to be that “4-wheeler” applies to one of these off-road bikes – so as far as I recall, that would be a “no”.
11. Have you ever made a prank phone call?
I must have.
12. Boyfriend/Girlfriend?
A wonderful wife.
13. Would you go bungee jumping or skydiving?
I would quite like to go up in a hot-air balloon, and helicopter are fun; but bungee jumping or skydiving? Why?
14. Farthest place you ever travelled?
New Caledonia, a rather interesting island a thousand miles or so off the coast of Queensland; and then New Zealand; and we flew back via LA – so it was a round the world trip, too. Sometime, I must tell you about New Caledonia.
15. Do you have a garden?
Kind of – we have a shared garden, but I rarely venture into it.
16. What's your favourite comic strip?
I haven’t read a comic strip for years, so I don’t t really have one. I was very prone to “Alex” when it was in the Independent, and I enjoy “Dilbert”, so it would be a toss up between those two.
17. Do you read a newspaper every day?
Yes – the Independent during the week, the Scotsman on Saturdays, and Scotland on Sunday – you guessed it – on Sunday.
18. Do you really know all the words to your national anthem?
No. National anthems are despicable things, and they always have really portentous tunes.
19. Bath or Shower, morning or night?
It really depends. During the winter, I shower on weekday mornings, and I have a bath at weekends; during the summer, I cycle to work (usually), so I have a shower when I get to work, and then again when I get home in the evening. But if I am able, I prefer to have a long bath in the morning, listening to the radio.
20. Best movie(s) you've seen in the past month?
I have only been to one movie in the last month - The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.
21. Favourite pizza toppings?
Mushroom, ham and mozzarella.
22. Chips or popcorn?
Are you an American? I mean are “chips” what I would call chips - or are they what Americans call “chips”, that is, crisps. Actually, either way, I prefer either chips or crisps to popcorn.
23. Have you ever smoked peanut shells?
I have eaten smoked peanuts, but not their shells.
24. Have you ever been in a beauty pageant?
No, but I was a child model. (This is true.)
25. Orange Juice or Apple Juice?
Either, depending on my mood. But grapefruit juice by preference.
26. Who were the last people you went out to lunch or dinner with?
My wife, yesterday, and the day before that.
27. Favourite type chocolate bar?
Green & Blacks dark chocolate. Plus KitKats.
28. When's the last time you voted at the polls?
Last May.
29. Last time you ate a home-grown tomato?
No idea.
30. Have you ever won a trophy?
Various awards and badges, but I don’t think I have ever won a trophy, aside from joke things at work.
31. Are you a good cook?
Yes – simple food with excellent ingredients. I make delicious roast potatoes. Tonight, I will be cooking fresh scallops grilled in coriander butter (from Nigel Slater’s “Real Fast Food”).
32. Do you know how to pump your own gas?
What’s not to know? Open it up, stick it in, and hold the lever. Jeez.
33. Sprite or 7-Up?
Either. How anal are these guys?
34. Have you ever had to wear a uniform to school/work?
Yes. Many years of school uniform, and I have worn uniform at work to gain acceptance when working with people from branches – who all have to wear a uniform.
35. Last thing you ate?
An organic apple. But I am off to get some crisps – all this talk of food has made me hungry.
36. Ever thrown up in public?
Many, many times; but not for the last fifteen years or so – or not that I can remember…
37. Would you prefer being a millionaire or finding true love?
In the abstract, definitely true love – anyone who says otherwise would be a fool. However, since I have now found true love, I’ll take the million (in sterling) – as long as I can keep the love, too.
38. Do you believe in love at first sight?
Absolutely.
39. Can exs be just friends?
Yes – I have several to prove it. (And also, several who would disprove it…)
40. Who was the last person you visited in the hospital?
A doctor.
41. Did you have long hair as a young kid?
Unfortunately, longer than I should have. Well, it was the seventies.
42. What messages are in your voice mail?
One from me, telling me to remember to phone someone next week.
43. Where would you like to go right now?
Nowhere, I am perfectly happy here.
44. What was the name of your first pet?
MacTavish the marmalade cat.
45. What kind of bag do you have, and what's in it?
Is this a girl question? I have torn backpack, which is empty. My wallet lives in my jacket, and it has some cash, some cards, and a whole load of receipts.
46. What was the last thing you drank?
A glass of water. Well, it was when I wrote this. But now that would have to be a glass of New Zealand reisling - delicious with scallops and coriander.
47. What is one thing you are grateful for today?
I went to see an exhibition of Charles Rennie Mackintosh watercolours in the Dean Gallery, and it was lovely – so I am grateful I bothered to do that.
48. What do you think about most?
Art and music. Except when I am at work, in which case it is getting a new job.
49. What is your new years resolution?
I didn’t make any.
