It would have been great to see you, but in fact I didn't do most of the stuff I would have hoped - I caught a really nasty cold, and spent half my time in bed!

The jazz was excellent, in lots of different ways - I'm going to write about it sometime.

Co-incidentally, I was at the South Bank when pashazade was having her birthday drinks in Waterloo; I felt somewhat uneasy waiting for my brother at Embankment - so close, so far.

I am not sure if I shall be in London other the next couple of months - I expect to spend a week or two in Oxford before Christmas (which I shall probably be spending in Wiltshire), but I want to go back to the Rothko and catch a couple of other exhibitions, so I may spend a day or so in London.
