indyRef Debate.
Aug. 5th, 2014 11:50 pmI've been watching BBC's Scotland 2014 and Newsnight, trying to work out what happened in tonight's televised debate on independence between Alex Salmond and Alistair Darling.
It appears that there was no clear winner - which, given Salmond's political savvy, means that he was the clear loser.
No clear answers on either side, either.
In six weeks time, it will all be over, and we'll know one way or another. I think the last weeks of campaigning could be quite damaging - by definition, things are getting more partisan (Yes! No!).
The are lots of discussions and ideas going on about how to unite people after the referendum, whatever the outcome. Ways to heal open wounds are too be welcomed, I think.
