I came across the American Taliban whilst reading The Obviuous?, a blog I look at every now and then. (I think it was because it covered something about knowledge management originally, but that is a long, long time ago.)
The American Taliban is a long list of quotations from right wing and evangelical Americans. And they are rather scary quotations at that - intolerant, homophobic, and racist.
The webpage itself doesn't explain what the page is trying to achieve - whether it is praising or damning those it quotes, although the About Us page in the root says it is
"a new student/staff/faculty association which encourages discussions of science, philosophy, religion, society and politics from an adult, secular humanist, Enlightenment perspective."
OK, so you know how I got there, you know (a bit) about the people behind it - it is a college (.edu) URL.
Of course, it could be fake, made up.
If the quotations were made up, it might even be funny. But if not, I find it very, very disturbing.
