After you die...
Unstuck in Time

After death, you will become unstuck in time, and re-live various moments of your life. Time will cease to exist. One moment you will be learning to catch butterflies, the next you will be using your walker to go to the bathroom. You will live on forever in this way, constantly reliving the sweetest and not so sweetest of moments.

  • Name a CD you own that you think no-one else on your friendslist does:
Trio AAB – Wherever I Lay My Home, That’s My Hat (they’re a very good free jazz trio, based in Musselburgh).

  • Name a book you own that you think no-one else on your friendslist does:
Lots of botany books – I could play really unfair and name my PhD thesis (well, it’s been bound, hasn’t it?); but other books – I am going to say the one which is sitting on my desk in front of me – Stargazing by Peter Hill; it is his experiences of being a lighthouse man in the 1970s, and it is very good. The copy I have here I bought as a gift for a friend I am going to see at the weekend.

  • Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that you think no-one else on your friendslist does:
Spaced (series 1 and 2). You may well have it; if you haven’t, get it!

  • Name a place that you have visited that you think no-one else on your friendslist has been:
Lupanga, a mountain in the Uluguru Mountains in Tanzania. I spent a few week stuck at the top of it when I was a student.

  • Name a piece of technology or any sort of tool you own that you think no-one else on your friendslist has:
    A microscope.
