You remind me of the only decent line I can recall from a paly by Stoppard. In Rosencrantz and Guilderstern, when they expected to be killed and instead wake up on a boat, one says to the other, "You can't not be on a boat", to which the other responds, "I've often not been on a boat!"
It wasn't that funny the first time around, either.
