On the Beat

Well, I am so pleased you remembered so much! It was a bit of a challenge to try and give a flavour of quantum theory and relativity in 50 minutes. I would have been happy if people in the audience remembered just one thing. But you have remembered loads, which is very pleasing for me. Interesting that you mention Max Wolff 35 years ago. I too remember him on TV doing programmes like "The Great Egg Race". So, when I arrived for my Edinburgh talk, I was totally intimidated to be told I was to be introduced by. He turned out to be really kind, though.
