"On the Hour"
BBC7 - that's a radio station - are running repeats of the very wonderful "On the Hour" - the radio precursor to BBC2's "The Day Today". So I thought I'd check the website, where I learned ;ast Thursday's show was the first, it's on each Thursday at 11.30pm, and I could use their listen again facility to play last week's show.
Well I should be able to, but I couldn't: it gave me Little Miss Jocelyn or someone instead.
Mighty pissed off.
Still, I'll probably be able to buy a CD soon...

I don't know what the situation is with OTH now. When it was first released, I bought it on cassette, it was that long ago, but it was a Best Of rather than the full version, because there had been some falling out between the writers (mainly Lee + Herring and Patrick Marber, I think) over future rights and similar dull legal stuff. The end result was that all the L&H bits were excised, so I don't know if that has since been resolved. It would seem they managed to come to an accommodation for a BBC7 broadcast at any rate.
Anyway, I'm sure you'll let me know if you want help getting hold of the BBC7 version.

Anyhow, I have now programmed my hard disk video recorder to record it each week - no more problem!
