Anthony Gormley

Everyone is watching Eurovision tonight.

Except me. There is a documentary about Anthony Gormley - who created "the Angel of the North", "Field" and those sculptures which are on the sand somewhere on the Lancashire coastline. Channel 4, 8pm.

You could always video it.

Actually, I will be watching Eurovision. Just after 9pm. In fact, maybe not until the results. Everyone knows the best bit is Terry sounding pisht, dissing the votes as they come in.

In my book the Angel of the North rates nul points. Horrible thing.

Before I actually saw it - when I'd just seen photographs - I didn't like it at all. But seeing it from the train or from the road, it became something I'd look out for: just a fleeting glimpse.

Now I love it.

BTW Frankie said you'd tried to connect via LinkedIn a while ago, and I'd ignored you.

I didn't get the email!

Next time I'm on LinkedIn, I locate you on Frankie's contacts, and link that way.

Cheers.

We aren't watching Eurovision. We may watch the repeat of HIGNFY, but otherwise the TV will probably stay off in this house.

So that's damning both high art AND low art, then!

I must admit I rather enjoy the poor, camp quality of Eurovision. But it really should be put out of its misery.

Up until now i have been listening to Miles Davis; and it has just occurred to me that later I could watch Eurovision - and listen to Miles Davis...

Watching Eurovision? That would require making a special effort and finding a television set. I had thought about finidng someone holding a drinking party, but decided against.

TV? Waste of time and effort.

Wise choice, believe me...

I'll be watching Eurovision tonight, well after everyone else has given the results on lj. You bastards. ;)

I wasn't watching Eurovision, I was watching quality live music.
