Because I have just bought a laptop from Dell.

Oh dear. I hope you also bought the three year, on-site warranty!

As a matter of fact, I did...

I had a Dell PC for a long time, and it was fine. I felt I needed a laptop for things that might happen soon, and they seemed to have the best value... if I bought it today!

No worries, then, their customer service and their onsite techies aren't bad, but their laptops are prone to faults. I wouldn't buy from them again, but the warranty certainly took the pain away.

I love my iPod, but don't want an iBook. I have a Dell home pc as well. I call it my best of breed personal electronics profile. :)
