But whilst I am on... What are 5Live's promos all about?

"On DAB, on digital TV and online... 5Live!"

And funnily enough, also on the good ol' radio - non-digital, fuzz-inducing medium wave, but they are still there.

Someone should tell the guys in the BBC publicity department.

They're pushing the "turn Motson off, listen to us, and still watch it" effect. The whole "listen to us however you want and by the way medium wave may cease to exist soon" claptrap.

Easy way to avoid them; don't watch the football, and stick to radio 4...

Funnily enough, I have had the habit of watching football on TV with the sound down and the radio on for years. The comentary is so much better on the radio. Plus if it is a boring match (as it usually is...), I can read a magazine or do something else, and the commentary keeps me aware of what is going on.

(But I do often listen to Radio 4...)
