The Booker Prize at 40: a public vote - closes 8 July

According to Late Newsnight Review, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Booker Prize, there is a public vote on six of the best Bookers of the last forty years.

Woskar and Foxtrot "Oscar and Lucinda" is one of the choices.

Go vote.

(Actually, I can't see WHERE to vote on the website. Googling "Booker 40 public vote" gives me this link And I still can't see where to vote...) According to Martha Kearney you have until 8 July - that's Tuesday.)

I really should read Midnight's Children again; I think I woud appreciate it a lot more now than I back then.

I am a fan of Carey's - Illywhacker I thought was just brilliant, and I have loved everything of his I have read since - including Oscar and Lucinda!

I've just noticed that there is a tv programme about Midnight's Children - a repeat from 1981. It is "Arena: A Takk Story: How Salman Rushdie pickled all India", scheduled on BBC4 at 9.15pm BST - but you would be able to watch it on BBC iplayer for the next week. I just thought you might be interested.
