Edinburgh Jazz Festival

Talking of Stramash, as I just was, they are playing at this year's Edinburgh Jazz Festival.

As well as the Stramash gig on July 28, I've just bought tickets for

• Phil Bancroft Quartet on July 26


• Stan Tracey and Bobby Wellins playing Monk on July 27
  
• US sax coloussus David Murray on July 29
  
• the ill-named Dizzy Gillespie All Stars on July 30
  
• Tommy Smith, Arild Andersen and Alyn Cosker in trio on August 1

There were a couple of other gigs I thought I might try to get to, but I think that should be enough to keep me going until the Islay Festival in September...
