There was a terrific rain shower in Oxford on Tuesday afternoon. After the rain, the sun came out beneath the heavy clouds, and lit up the trees outside the window I was sitting at.

Last week, I wandered through the Meadows - an open park - in Edinburgh, and I was struck by the amount of cherry blossom: I can't remember noticing it before (since it isn't an area of town I have walked around a great deal before; or maybe not at the end of April!).

I went back a couple of days later with my camera, and I also saw some flowers in Princes St Gardens.
