Ooops...

I have been using web-based mail for the last couple of months. I have just looked in my "spam" folder. It contained all sorts of stuff that wasn't spam.

Including many comments on posts going back over the last few weeks.

I have no idea why my service decided you were spamming me - most comments did get through. Perhaps the comments contain links or something.

Anyhow, I'm going to be catching up on old comments.

Apologies to anyone who thought I was ignoring them!

Snowfox.

I saw this on [livejournal.com profile] andrewducker's journal. And I thought it was brilliant.

Why The Smartest People Have The Toughest Time Dating

[livejournal.com profile] andrewducker linked to this post on the Huffington Post: Why The Smartest People Have The Toughest Time Dating. It is pretty USA-centric, but since I know some pretty clever people out there, I post the link here as a public service!

[Edit: ...and I am amused that Google ads served up "moving on after divorce"!]

Something Is Wrong...

LJ - or Vimeo - seem to be a bit cranky at the moment.

Earlier I looked at a post with videos of Sean Penn's acceptance speech and another of Dustin Lance Black's.

Now, a post entitled "Credit Crunch Explained" features the video of Dustin Lance Black (apparently it should be "The Crisis of Credit Visualized from Jonathan Jarvis "!), and another entitled "News from Al Jazeera ... Heavy gunfire has been reported in Dhaka near to the HQ of a paramilitary group..." features Sean Penn's speech!

It might be wrong, but this amuses me no end!

Scottish Librarian's Joke, and Jazz Porn

Both these were seen on What's With That!:
A bloke walks into a Glasgow library and says to the prim librarian,

'Excuse me Miss, dey ye hiv ony books on suicide?'

To which she stops doing her tasks, looks at him over the top of her
glasses and says,

'Fook off, ye'll no bring it back!'

Jazz porn behind the cut... )

Drumming is good for you.

Clearly, there is no way that I could let Topper Headon talking to the BBC about the health benefits of playing the drums unmentioned.

By the way, the tune to which he is drumming during the interview - you can hear the voices but the drum track has been silenced - is Tommy Gun. See, I can recognise tunes even when they are silent. (It has quite a specific rhythm - easy to identify!)

(Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] andrewducker for spotting this.)
