I can relate to this. I have reached the point where my friends/colleagues/former team mates are dying with some regularity. Yesterday I wore a rugby jersey from the set that my friend Neil Sorbie played his last game in. I remember he wore 7 that day as he almost always had. The jersey I have is not the one I wore that day but still. Neil died of cancer six months ago. Yesterday I saw another former team mate at the LCBO. He is deteriorating mentally really badly. He's a former university teacher but he didn't recognise me. He hasn't for about two years (we are neighbours so we bump into each other). I'm not sure which is worse.
