I was going to write "geeks" - but that might be misinterpreted!

I recently came across the Periodic Table of Videos from the University of Nottingham (via The Obvious?).

They are quite interesting - and it is a great idea. One of the presenters - Professor Martin Poliakoff - is a little too much like the archetypical science professor: he has big hair - which gets a great deal bigger between silver and magnesium. I looked at magnesium first, in the hope of seeing things explode. Which they do!

This evening I did something I haven’t done for five years or so; it used to be a big thing in my life, but along with so much analogue, it got swept away in the digital tide.
